Williams Fire & Hazard Control will provide three consecutive days of training on how to respond to flammable liquids bulk storage facility. The course will include a morning classroom session which will cover topics such as facility operations, aboveground storage tank design and construction, types of foam, foam application and proportioning, firefighting tactics and case history of storage tank fires.
A hands-on demonstration of large water hydraulics will be provided to the students. Students will gain an understanding of the principles and practices of moving large volumes of water (6,000 gallons) per minute through portable firefighting pumps and a trailer mounted water cannon. Students will gain an understanding of the reach and distance these types of equipment will provide under emergency conditions.
